Criticisms

Although seen as a very influential figure and great psychologist, many academics have questioned and criticised the work of Victor Frankl. Not only his theorys have been called into question, but also the details of his self-reported experiences of the time he spent in concentration camps, published in his book "Man's search for meaning".

"Man' Search for Meaning" has also been called into question due to misleadingly suggesting that he spent a long time in Auschwitz, when in fact he was only there for 3 days (Pytell, 2003).
